This headrest is fully Crash Tested (can be used safely on a wheelchair that is also crash tested for occupied transport)
Please note it can still be used on standard “non” crash tested wheelchairs BUT the wheelchair cannot be used for occupied transport in a vehicle …. i.e The chair must also be crash tested….. The headrest would then be used for comfort / head stability under normal usage circumstances.
Whilst having a headrest on a crash tested wheelchair is NOT a legal requirement WE STRONGLY advise the use of one to protect the user in the event of a rear end shunt… plus it also makes a much nicer ride / support for the head whilst in the vehicle….
